The idea

Owning it and finding it
are two different things.

A library isn't a room with books in it. It's a room where every book has a place, and the place is known. KeyDeck does that for the things you make and reuse — catalogued, shelved, and found in seconds rather than remembered.

And once the app knows what you have and where it sits, the technical half of the work — converting, naming, moving, keeping versions straight — can be handled for you. What's left is the half that needed a person in the first place.

KeyDeck
The asset library. A structured table of locations. The productions page. The toolbox.

01 — Library

Organised by what things are for

Not by file type. Footage, fonts, LUTs, colour palettes, contacts, paperwork — each lands somewhere obvious, because the shelves are already built.

02 — Browsing

Familiar on the surface, smarter underneath

It browses like a file manager, because that is what you already know. But each category understands what it holds — fonts get specimens, audio gets waveforms, models get a viewer you can orbit.

03 — Tables

Half of what you need to remember isn't a file

Which lens you own and where it is. What you invoiced in March. The restaurant someone recommended. Tables handle the structured half, without a spreadsheet.

04 — Productions

Work that stays where you left it

Group a body of work, keep its projects and its private assets together, and find it all again in six months — in the app or in Finder, because they are the same folders.

05 — Tools

And the tools are right there

Convert, download, upscale, storyboard, rehearse, sync. No hunting for the app that does the one thing you need at 2am.

Ownership

Your files.
Your folder.
Your call.

On first launch KeyDeck asks where to put your work, and then puts it exactly there. One folder. Ordinary files. Nothing hidden behind a database.

We're here to help you with your divorce from your subscriptions, and enable a powerful Interface between you and your digital toolset.

Open it in Finder

What you see in the app is what is on disk.

Sync it your way

iCloud, Dropbox, a NAS, or git. Your choice, not ours.

Back it up like anything else

If it backs up a folder, it backs up KeyDeck.

Leave whenever

Your files keep working without the app.

The Toolbox

A Swiss-army knife for digital creativity

Eighteen utilities you'd otherwise keep in eighteen browser tabs. Fold one out when the job calls for it, then fold it away.

Media Converter Media Downloader Upscaler Depth Map Music Stems Audio Detector Storyboarder Line Learner Line Breakdowns Shot Tracker Teleprompter Sync Folders Watch Folders Key Mapping Tech Calculator QR Generator Speed Test SlateDeck

Storyboarder

Sketch, sequence and present a scene shot by shot. Real shot vocabulary, a contact-sheet PDF, and a web export built for tablet review.

Line Learner

Load your sides, mark your character, and run lines hands-free against recorded or synthesised cue reads — with gaps timed to your own delivery.

Key Mapping

Your keyboard and your Stream Deck side by side, cross-referenced, so you can see what a key already does before you take it.

Everything runs on your machine. Nothing is uploaded to be processed.

Dashboard
The KeyDeck dashboard, with a weather strip and grids of app tiles.

Dashboard

The screen you actually start the day on

Everything outside KeyDeck — the sites, apps and folders you open all day — arranged the way you think about them rather than the way a browser sorted them. Weather and your calendar across the top.

Drag a tile onto another and they group. Empty a group and it dissolves. You never end up curating folders you don't need.

There will always be a buy-it-for-life version of KeyDeck, with no advertising — and your data will always be plain files, in a folder you picked.

Our commitment, in full.

Bring it all home.

KeyDeck is in active development and free while it's in the open.
